Finding Your IP Address
Public IP Address
1. Open Your Web Browser:
- Launch your preferred web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari).
2. Search for “What is my IP“:
- In the search bar, type “What is my IP” and press Enter.
- The search engine (e.g., Google) will display your public IP address at the top of the search results.

3. Visit IP Address Websites:
- Alternatively, you can visit websites like WhatIsMyIP.com or IP Chicken to find your public IP address.
- These sites will display your IP address prominently on the page.

Performing a Speed Test
1. Open Your Web Browser:
- Launch your preferred web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari).
2. Visit a Speed Test Website:
- Go to a reliable speed test website like Speedtest by Ookla, Fast.com, or Google Fiber Speed Test.
3. Initiate the Speed Test:
- Click on the “Go” button or the equivalent on the speed test site to start the test.
- The website will test your internet connection by measuring the download and upload speeds, as well as ping/latency.

4. View Your Results:
- Once the test is complete, the website will display your internet speed results, including:
- Download Speed: The speed at which data is transferred from the internet to your device.
- Upload Speed: The speed at which data is transferred from your device to the internet.
- Ping/Latency: The time it takes for a data packet to travel from your device to the server and back.
