This section is useful especially if you are running an online store.
From the Dashboard you will see Online Store. Under the Settings section, you will notice there are several tabs for the initial setup of your online store. Here you will be able to configure the basic setup for your online store.
General
Start by clicking on the General tab to configure things such as:
- Store address
- Selling location – here you can set whether you want to sell worldwide or limit sales to specific countries
- Shipping location – here you can set what countries you would like to ship your products to.
- Default customer location – this is used for calculating tax and shipping automatically for your customers. Assume they are in the same location as your online store, provide no estimated tax or shipping price until the checkout process is near completion, or utilize the geolocation tool to verify your customer’s exact location.
Under the General tab you will also set how your prices will be displayed to customers when making purchases. This includes features such as currency type and position, as well as decimal placement.
Products
- General – Here you can set the dimension and product weight unit. You can also enable/disable reviews for your products.
- Inventory – Here you can configure how you will manage your inventory. Enable notifications for low or out of stock product, and even set low/out of stock thresholds, or set products hidden automatically from the catalog when items are out of stock.
